Introduction – Introducción Manuel Vega was convicted, on purely circumstantial evidence of smothering and strangeling his wife. He is currently serving an indeterminated term of incarceration of 25 years to life. On August 18, 1999 Johana Vega was found in her apartment strangled and asphyxiated to death.
