A white woman claims that she was raped by a black man. Clyde Charles was serving 17 years at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola wrongfully convicted of this crime. Introduction The initial complaint was theft! When the police of Vivian, Louisiana, arrived at the alleged crime scene, the crime mystically mounted to forcible rape and first degree robbery, also reflected in the Bill of Information of September 6, 1996. On October 3, 1996, the Grand Jury of the Parish of Caddo eventually charged Darrien Brown with aggravated rape and first degree robbery. The trial jury acquitted Brown of the robbery charge.
